Tech Talk at IZB
The 10th International Suppliers Fair (IZB) took place yesterday in Wolfsburg. At the event, a “Tech Talk” took place, hosted jointly by Wolfsburg AG, host of the IZB, and T-Systems, Deutsche Telekom’s business customer division.
At the Tech Talk, 6 IT startups presented their ideas and solutions about the development of current tech topics. The spectrum ranged from the digital transformation and automation of vehicles, to real-time parking availability prediction, to artificial intelligence.
Our CEO, Andreas Westhoff, presented the solutions we are currently offering at Smart Mobile Labs in the connected car sector. As a concrete use case, he presented a concept of displaying data from truck cameras to the following vehicles in order to provide better visibility for the latter. This is achieved thanks to our EVO product, that enables the real-time bi-directional distribution of information between vehicles and the orchestration and transmission of video, audio and telemetric data via LTE. Our solution is already future proof, as it can also be transmitted by 5G. To test our solution and its transmission via 5G, our product is currently being used by Vodafone in its 5G mobility lab in Aldenhoven.
